The church is situated in Church Lane, just off the Village Green on Moor Lane.
The foundations of the church are believed to be from the 12th century with a tower on the West end and a five-bay aisled nave.
Most of the Victorian coloured glass is intact other than the North West
window. These coloured glass windows have been installed as memorials to notable residents of the parish. The North West window was destroyed by vandals but was replaced by a replacement recently which was designed by Thomas Denny.
Walking peacefully down Church Lane it is impossible to miss this magnificient Church which shows it dominance sitting in the slightly raised grounds.
