Whitburn Hall
Whitburn Hall was the home of the Williamson,s where they would remain for the next 242 years. The Williamson family, Baronets, originally lived in Monkwearmouth Hall but moved to Whitburn after it was destroyed by fire in April 1790. Whitburn Hall would become their new principle family residence for the next 242 years until 1961 when the site would be sold to a private developer.
