I can say from experience that the staff in this library are some of the most helpful community members in the borough. When initially building this website they were a wonderful source of information for which I must personally thank them. Webmaster.

The Library offers a comprehensive service ranging from traditional books, talking books, study guides, newspapers and periodicals, to DVDs, and CD-ROMs. They also have up-to-date IT services, including free access to the Internet. 

Opening Times:
Monday: 9.30am - 12.30pm | 1.30 - 7.00pm
Tuesday: Closed  9.30am - 12.30pm | 1.30 - 5.00pm
Wednesday: Closed all day  
Thursday: 9.30am - 12.30pm | 13.30 - 7.00pm  
Friday: Closed all day
Saturday: 9.00am - 1.00pm

Language courses, Music cassettes and Talking Books:
N.B. Talking books are issued free of charge to visually impaired borrowers registered with South Tyneside Social Services as blind or partially sighted
